·         May 17th Claybanks clean-up and seeding with the Challenge Chapter of Trout Unlimited– contact Patrick Ertel at patrick@huronpines.org

·         June 7th Claybanks planting with the William B. Mershon Chapter of Trout Unlimited–  contact Patrick Ertel at patrick@huronpines.org

Contributing your time and talent really makes a difference. Without the help from volunteers, many of the great conservation projects we do wouldn’t get done. For more volunteer information, visit http://www.huronpines.org/project/79.

 KIRTLAND’S WARBLER FESTIVAL MAY 17th

The Kirtland’s Warbler Festival is coming up soon. The event is a great opportunity to get outside and perhaps see the famed Kirtland’s Warbler. Pre-registration is not required- just come to Kirtland Community College campus on May 17th.

Huron Pines will have a booth, so stop by and say hello. We have some native seedlings to give away to those interested in becoming a member as well.

The Kirtland's Warbler Festival is sponsored by Kirtland Community College in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, U.S.D.A. Forest Service, and U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service.

Please visit http://warbler.kirtland.edu/ for more information.
